Married at… SECOND SIGHT?!

The wedding bells continue to ring this week! Last week we had a success rate of 3/3 and I guess now we have 5/5?!? So happy to see that Karen is feeling much more comfortable with Miles and that Woody and Amani are so comfortable which each other! Lemme tell ya, I spent ALL week thinking about Amelia and Bennett so I was relieved to know their past meetings were all pleasant!!! I was SO scared we would have a Luke and Kate situation on our hands. 😭

This must be FATE!!

This was the BEST WAY TO START AN EPISODE! 🤩I was *so* scared that Amelia and Bennett had a bad history, but that wasn’t the case. Their story is truly going to be a magical one to tell their kiddos one day. Who knew they had a mutual friend and had slight crushes on each other in the past?! And then they end up on Married at First Sight – NOT a coincidence.

Even the way they talk and took their wedding photos is so organic! They’re fun and silly and super similar. Chemistry is totally there! Sadly, I think there are a lot of men that do not like women that are unapologetically themselves and have armpit hair, but Bennett is a true unjudgemental, easy-going, lover!

Thank goodness for a supportive fam!

One thing that makes such a difference when getting Married at First Sight is having a supportive family. Even if they think you’re nuts (yep- definitely relate to this ha!), having them there at the wedding makes the experience so much better! They all seem to have loving family members from Christina’s mom who just wants her to find unconditional love and support to Amani’s amazing dads who welcome Woody in with open arms.

I think when you don’t have something in your life, you *crave* it, and I definitely see that with Woody & Christina wanting loving families, so I am so happy they found that! I remember that was the one thing I desperately wanted – and I am beyond grateful to have found that in Doug’s family!

WOWZA! Brett’s family is funny! They definitely have a sense of humor and I am so glad Olivia is open to that. I’m not sure how Christina or Karen would have responded to Brett’s humor.

I think the smartest thing you can do after being married at first sight is asking your new spouse’s family & friends tons of questions. Miles already has a leg up because he knows Karen is reserved and shuts down easily, and Olivia has been warned about Brett not being in touch with his sensitive side.

Things get SO awkward!

Sayy whattttt?! Christina is reminding me of Brandon with the attitude that she is giving! I understand being nervous, so I am praying that her not wanting to film was just that! The tension between Christina and Henry is CRAZY (maybe even as bad as my wedding lol). I truly hope all 5 couples make it and I am going to have 100% faith in these two, they just need to loosen up! And hopefully, she learns his name before the honeymoon!😬

Lacking Attraction?

Ay yi yi, I can’t tell if we have a picky man on our hands?! It seemed like Henry had two must haves: good hair an good shoes. But I am sensing he isn’t fully into her?! And he isnt her type either? I PROMISE you, attraction grows! I can totally tell that Christina is used to the bad boy that takes initiative- been there, done that! I think the two of them need to let go of expectations!

Ay yi yi…judgemental friends are no fun…

OH MY GOSH! Henry’s friends are so not welcoming of Christina AT ALL! Girlllll, watch out for her girl friends! Did you hear the questions they were asking her?! Felt like an interrogation and like they wanted to assert their dominance. He’s a married man now. Your wife automatically becomes your best friend at that point! Let’s hope Henry isn’t too influenced by them! 🤞🏻

Speaking of friends not loving the spouse, Olivia’s friends truly don’t get Brett’s sarcasm. I think Olivia has a great group behind her *just* in case Brett is the player that he was two episodes ago.

Oh la la! NEXT week are the Honeymoons and I can’t wait to watch!

I wonder which of the couples will consummate their marriage!? Let’s see how the dynamics change now that they have some alone time and the thrill of the wedding is over!  Is Olivia going to like Brett’s humor? Are Christina and Henry going to be awkward still?! I’ll be back next week to chat more, but I’m dying to hear what you think in the meantime! Chat with me in the comments below!

  1. I can’t even with Henry and Christina! They’re uncomfortable to watch almost to the point that I’m wondering if I can even watch them this season. It’s not either one specifically, its individually and as a couple. Oy! I’ve been watching since moment 1, and remember feeling awful for you/Doug, but they’re different, somehow. ‍♀️ I’m getting Luke, Zack, Matt vibes from Brett… Hope I’m wrong, but we’ll see.
