First of all, I hope you all had an amazing Halloween! Doug and I had so much fun – we shared some videos of our festivities! But on to Married At First Sight! Waaahooo! I cannot tell you how excited I am to welcome Tom Wilson & Lilly Vilchez and Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados into the club Jason Carrion, Cortney Hendrix, and Doug Hehner and I began two and a half years ago – the Married At First Sight: STILL MARRIED CLUB! Ya know, clubs like this are meant to grow larger and larger; “The More The Merrier!”

But I’m not holding my breath. We have had this happen before. Actually, almost every season of Married At First Sight we get super excited to welcome couples into our club but then as soon the reunion show airs we realize they aren’t together anymore and they leave us. Marriage is tough. The way we are married is even more difficult. People always ask Doug and me why we were able to stay married but none of these new couples have been able to make their marriage last. I guess that’s a question we could ask 50% of the population since the marriage/divorce rate in America is just about 50/50 anyway.

It’s just like my husband, Doug, says: If you end in divorce but you learn even just one thing about yourself/relationships/marriage while you’re in the Married At First Sight experiment then it’s not all wasted. Personal growth can be astounding in this type of experience. Truthfully, I have yet to meet anyone who’s been Married At First Sight that says it was all a complete waste of time; nothing gained at all. As a matter of fact, both Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz – who ended in divorce – have stated that they are thankful for the experience because they learned so much because of it.

Married At First Sight: Reunion Tonight

Tonight we will know who is still STILL married. 😉 I cannot wait! I must admit, I’ll be so sad if yet another couple leaves our club. BUT, we are all part of a much larger club: the crazies who got married at first sight. That club is one that you cannot leave. Ever. No matter what. 🙂

I know you guys who are our #MAFSFamily as I call y’all or “frans” as Sonia says (and I am now using, too because it’s just perfect to describe y’all. It’s friends/fans!) will be just as disappointed as me if anyone leaves our Married At First Sight: Still Married Club. I will be on Facebook LIVE with my hubby tonight right after the results to CELEBRATE any success and cry for any loss with you guys. Be sure to follow me on facebook so we can chat with you!

Also, I have a SURPRISE INTERVIEW with ALL of the MEN from this season’s Married At First Sight!!! This will be posted immediately after the reunion as well!

Tell me what you think….do you think both of the couples from this season of Married At First Sight are still together?

What does it take to be a good wife? God knows I had some trouble figuring that out. My past threatened my future, but I learned how to stop that from happening. If you’re struggling in the dating world — or if you’re engaged, a newlywed, a long time married veteran, you will feel a lot better about your relationship after reading about mine in my new book, Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong After Meeting  Mr. Right!

  1. Jamie,
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that both couples are still married. I’ll definitely be watching the reunion tonight & of course you & Doug live on Facebook. Will your frans get lucky with an appearance of the in-laws when you’re live on Facebook tonight? I would love to hear their opinion on this seasons couples & get some words of wisdom on marriage.

  2. Love is a choice. You and Doug and Jason and Courtney chose it from the very beginning and were very clear about that throughout the whole process and still are very clear about it now. You all were choosing love against all odds and you’ve continued to choose it against all odds. That’s why you all have made it this far and that’s why people are so intrigued. Love is not something we choose today… in any relationship. That’s why the divorce rate is what it is and I’m going to guess (based on Heather and Derek because I didn’t watch seasons 2-3) why the other couples in the others seasons did not last. We don’t choose love against all else. We choose to give up instead. Giving up is easier than loving and we don’t want hard. We want easy. Kudos to you and Doug and Jason and Courtney for putting forth the work… truly. That’s why you inspire so many. Hopeful for good news tonight from Tom and Lillian and Nick and Sonia (especially Nick and Sonia 😉 ).
