Happy Halloween

It’s Halloween!!! Which, in my opinion, marks the beginning of the holiday season! WOOHOO! Living in New York all my life, I really hate the cold weather. (After getting hitched I moved to be with my hubby in New Jersey — and now we are officially with my in-laws for awhile — where’s the ‘YIKES!’ emoji?!) The holidays give me something to look forward to during the cold months … But as far as I’m concerned, after January 1st old man winter can kick it and I wouldn’t shed a tear for him. Ha!

My husband, Doug, and I may be grown adults, but we dress up every year. I suppose, to be honest, I make him dress up with me, but I know he secretly loves it! Where’s the joy and fun in life if you don’t celebrate each holiday and festivity with zest and spice?! 😉 Usually I like doing a couples costume or being MATCHY MATCH. (I cannot wait to have kiddos to do everything matching together!)

We made a couple videos for you all to say HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hope you like them! 🙂

This Nun Has a Phenomenal French Kiss

Ok. Let me preface this video by saying that I had the most genius, clever, AHHMAZING idea for a Halloween costume. (I actually researched this idea so I can’t take all the credit, but I get points for really researching and not just doing the “norm,” right?!) Doug’s ideas were so … well … typical of a man. And he thought he was super tricky and would get me into a itty bitty outfit, but he was WRONG. I am not going to my sister’s halloween party with a gazillion kids wearing that costume. No Way! (But, he does get an A for effort!)

Kids, Don’t Do This At Home

If you don’t know how to carve a pumpkin, I don’t recommend watching this video for tips! 😉

I couldn’t stop laughing watching these halloween videos back! Doug cracks me up. I hope we made you laugh, too! Which costume & pumpkin is better? Mine or Dougs? …And please share what you’re going to be this year! I love hearing from you all! Happy Halloween!

P.S. Photo below is what I’m doing while blogging simultaneously. My sweet nephew, Mason, is the cutest pumpkin of all. <3 For all you soon-to-be new mommas out there, my friend Erica from The Bachelor has some must-have tips for you. 🙂

What does it take to be a good wife? God knows I had some trouble figuring that out. My past threatened my future, but I learned how to stop that from happening. If you’re struggling in the dating world — or if you’re engaged, a newlywed, a long time married veteran, you will feel a lot better about your relationship after reading about mine in my new book, Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong After Meeting  Mr. Right!

  1. Jamie I just read your blog do you realize you and Doug have come full circle you’re living with your in-laws.
I don’t mean that in a bad way, but I remember during your season & you asking Doug, “why do you still live with your parents”
In my opinion this full circle moment shows how much you’ve grown as a couple & how much you ❤️ each other. I applaud you both for doing this to save for your future . You’re so lucky to have loving in-laws and you both understand the benefits of moving back in with Doug’s parents (saving for your future home). Remember there’s nothing wrong with moving back in with Doug’s parents ( by the way the appear to be cool as hell & a lot of fun to be around). Bravo to you & Doug.
    Mason is too precious!!!!!

  2. Your videos make me smile 🙂 Doug did a good job sketching his idea! Looks like he has some artistic abilities. Hope things go well living with your in-laws and that it will be a rewarding time for everyone. You’ve already got a baby to snuggle. I bet that provides some comfort and healing for you.
