Anyone who knows me (or has read my book, Wifey 101) knows that it was my biggest dream in life to become a singer. Gosh, I did EVERYTHING in my power when I was younger to try to get my vocals as smooth as Carrie Underwood or Mariah, or Whitney. I did lip trills, took voice lessons, went to BERKLEE, etc. I’m so in awe of beautiful music. It’s like someone who can hold a rhythm and sing in tune has this great super-power to captivate an audience and their music heals the souls of everyone listening. I wanted that super-power.

Music Heals The Soul

When I come across someone who can sing like this I am always blown away. I took voice lessons for years and still screech my way through high notes, meanwhile some people just pick up a guitar and before you know it they can write their own sweet songs while accompanying themselves. They make it look so easy. I’d always think (and sometimes still do) “Why can’t I do that?!” GRR. Ha! But anyway – all my jealousy aside 😛 – I was out in Los Angeles a few weeks ago and I came across someone who can. This girl doesn’t belt it like those power houses, her style is different. She is soulful. She sings like an angel yet you’d never even know she’s this amazing singer because she is also a super talented producer behind the camera on Kevin Undergaro’s The Tomorrow Show (among other shows she works for.).

When I had the chance to hear her music I instantly thought ‘She is like a modern day Alannis Morissette!’ I asked her if I could share her music with you all because I really think you’ll like her music, too!

Allow me to introduce you to Lauren Lograsso and her music. 🙂 She covers Pill in Ibiza and here’s a compilation of Lauren’s singer/songwriter Reel. Two of my favorites of hers are originals. They are below. 🙂

If you want to hear more and reach out to Lauren, she is on Twitter, Facebook, and Insta: @laurenlograsso !!!

Do you LOVE music as much as I do? What do you think of Lauren? (I told her she should go on The Voice – I think she’d get four chairs turned around!) 😉

What does it take to be a good wife? God knows I had some trouble figuring that out. My past threatened my future, but I learned how to stop that from happening. If you’re struggling in the dating world — or if you’re engaged, a newlywed, a long time married veteran, you will feel a lot better about your relationship after reading about mine in my new book, Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong After Meeting  Mr. Right!

  1. Music is definitely important to me. It can speak to me like not much else can. I have some sort of music playing all the time. In fact, I turn on music long before I ever think about turning on the TV… music and a good book or house cleaning or whatever project I’m working on. I’ve noticed you follow Danny Gokey or at least like some of his music. His song Tell Your Heart to Beat Again is one I play on repeat a lot. Lauren Lograsso is definitely talented. You are so kind and generous in your promotion of others. We need more people in this world with a heart for others like you have.
