Ex, ex, ex
I am so sick of hearing about my ex. I am so thankful our season of Married At First Sight: The First Year is taking a mid season break. (Married At First Sight new couples air tonight.) I can only imagine how Doug must be feeling. Going into this season I knew I was struggling with whether or not I took the right path in life. Doug would always tell me that it is OK to be going through our problems because most people get to date and then be engaged while they figure out if they’re certain they’re 100% right for each other. He has a way to always make me feel better.
Doug, patient as a saint
I feel like a hypocrite. I know that if tables were turned I’d be a lot less understanding. I don’t know how Doug is able to be so patient, loving, and accepting of me. He is one strong, amazing man. It just goes to show how confident he is. There isn’t one jealous, insecure bone in his body.
Married At First Sight New Couples
Our season of MAFS The First Year is taking a mid season break. Season 3 of Married At First Sight premieres TONIGHT! Ahh! 😀 I am so excited to welcome three new couples into our Married At First Sight Family. Guys, our #MAFSFamily just keeps growing! 😀
Listen, there is nothing I can say more confidently than this: I believe Married At First Sight can really work. I mean, look at me. I came into this with a whole lot of baggage and insecurities … but I wanted to love and be loved. I was ready to commit to the right man. I was super honest with the experts about all of my “issues.” I told them if they could find someone who they think would be perfect for me I’d give it everything I have. I wanted it. I was willing to work for it. They found the ONE man who understands me, enjoys and loves me, and has stuck by my side through thick and thin. And, his family is absolutely incredible.
Experts
Dr. Pepper, Dr. Levkoff, Dr. Cilona, and Greg. These guys don’t get enough credit. When all goes well everyone looks at the couple like “Aww.” But when all fails (ahem, last season) everyone turns their heads to the experts like “Look what you’ve done!” I guess for me I see it all differently because I’ve been there. The experts match you based on information given to them. You really have to be brutally honest – both with yourself and the experts. You’ve gotta tell them your quirks and flaws and let them know your absolute deal breakers – even if they make you appear shallow. If you aren’t 100% straight forward then it will be a fail from the start. And let’s be honest (because clearly I know no other way-ha!) it takes WORK for any marriage to stay together, let alone a scientifically arranged one. You have to go into it knowing it’s going to take a lot of work.
Meet the cast
Tonight at 8p EST is the casting special, but The New York Post already introduced these guys to us. (And if you want more info follow links below.) I cannot wait to get to know them more and watch them fall in love! I may be nuts, but I have a feeling the southern charm is going to take over. (This season has moved out of NYC and into Atlanta.) I think we may have 3 happy couples at the end of this ordeal. Ok, maybe it’s just wishful thinking. I seriously can’t wait to watch and see. #FingersCrossed
